John,
Our democracy is in peril, and we all have a role to play in protecting it.
Here at CREW, we’ve taken legal action against insurrectionists, exposed how the Secret Service failed to prepare for January 6th, testified before Congress in support of reform, and called out corporations that are choosing access to seditionist members of Congress over democracy—and that’s just in the last 6 months.
None of us can protect our democracy alone—but together, we can safeguard it, and build a better, fairer democracy that works for all of us.
We’re in this work for the long haul, and I know you are too. If you’re able to, I hope you’ll consider becoming a monthly donor to CREW. We truly rely on our monthly donors—knowing we can count on ongoing support is critical to continuing our work.
I’ll also be holding a briefing call with all recurring donors to CREW on October 31st, as a thank you for your critical support—if you make a recurring donation before then, we’ll send you an invitation and an opportunity to send in a question.
CREW’s impact is undeniable. We filed a criminal complaint about Trump’s efforts to overturn Georgia’s election two days before the insurrection—and a special grand jury there has been investigating those efforts for months now. We’ve tracked and spotlighted the corporate backers of the Sedition Caucus—some of whom have reversed course after getting backlash for funding these enemies of democracy. We’ve uncovered the extent of Trump’s grifting off the Secret Service, making headlines and spurring Congressional investigations.
That’s just a small slice of our work pursuing accountability, shining a light on corruption and pushing for reform. If you want to ensure that work continues, I hope you’ll consider making a monthly donation now—we truly couldn’t do this work without supporters like you.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
