This year, House Democrats passed over 400 pieces of legislation that included key priorities to improve the lives of everyday Americans. We truly delivered on promises made with our "For the People" agenda and focus.

These priorities included:

- Protecting people with pre-existing conditions
- Lowering prescription drug costs
- Instituting universal background checks to curb gun violence
- Securing funds to study gun violence as a public health crisis
- Strengthening trade deals for workers
- Addressing climate change and staying in the Paris Climate Agreement
- Expanding voting rights
- Ensuring equal pay for equal work
- Prohibiting discrimination based on sex, gender identity and sexual orientation in public facilities
- And much more...

Unfortunately, many of these bills remain buried in what Mitch McConnell is proud to call his "legislative graveyard." Refusing to pass bills in service of political talking points is not serving the American people. This is not the type of leadership our country needs.

Next year, we must do everything we can to keep a Democratic majority in the House and take back the Senate and White House so bills like the ones above are signed into law. And I need your help to do just that.
