The Big Lie is a threat to democracy, and as the stakes get higher and more intense, the people of Colorado can rest easy knowing that their Secretary of State has taken decisive action to protect our free and fair elections.
When election workers faced threats, Jena acted and led a new law that makes it a crime to retaliate against election workers. When Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters compromised her own voting equipment, Jena decertified the equipment and asked a judge to remove the clerk from election oversight. Jena also led a new law to prohibit the open carrying of guns near voting.
