Hi there, John!

This is our fourth NRA fail of the year and it was a win for a lot of gun violence survivors around the country, especially those from Parkland who were personally attacked on NRATV.

June 26th, 2019: NRATV is canceled.

NRATV is...ahem...was a source of extremist propaganda for American gun idolatry. It fed people lies about gun violence and gun violence prevention -- something no one should ever lie about or misconstrue for their own political or financial gain. They blamed gun violence on diversity. They called survivors advocating for life-saving policies “tragedy-dry-humping whores.”

NRATV argued that a rise in gun violence prevention legislation would lead to an increase in terrorist attacks. They created materials that placed politicians they disagree with in literal crosshairs. They added to a conspiracy theory that we are crisis actors, paid to show up at horrific events to spread political rhetoric.

But finally, NRATV went so far off the rails that members from the NRA’s own board called for the end of its programming. Seeing the end of the propaganda machine that belittled the trauma, pain, and loss of so many was relieving and long overdue.

I have two asks of you today, just because I’m *so* happy it was canceled:

  1. If you haven’t yet, text CHANGE to 954-954 to join the We Call B.S. Team and receive real time updates on big moments in the movement.
  2. Share this post on Facebook and on Twitter to help spread a message of peace and drown out the NRA’s messages of hate.

Although we could keep this going much longer if we included all their screw-ups, tomorrow is the last day of NRA fails -- and it’s a doozy.

In solidarity,
