With only 18 days between now and Election Day, I need to be upfront about what's at stake:

*If we lose this seat, it won't just mean that another Trump-backed extremist – my opponent – is in the Senate. It will also mean that Mitch McConnell has retaken control of the chamber – and that he'll have a radical new colleague to rubber-stamp his disastrous GOP agenda.*

One seat is standing in the way of McConnell taking back control. One seat is standing in the way of a national abortion ban, a shutdown of any congressional investigations into Donald Trump's potentially criminal wrongdoing, and total obstruction of any progress on gun safety and climate solutions.

It's why a right-wing super PAC affiliated with my opponent is spending big on nasty and misleading TV ads attacking me. And it's why the very top brass of the Republican Party – including Donald Trump himself – are fundraising for my opponent and going all in to flip this seat.

Yet, as we're approaching our daily 11:59 p.m. fundraising deadline, I'm $2,785 behind where I should be – meaning we need an immediate surge of donations to keep fending off Republican attacks and protect this seat. So, with Democratic control of the Senate on the line, I'm sincerely asking you: Will you chip in a donation of $5 or whatever you can spare to help me win and keep control of the Senate with Democrats?
