Partnerships are the foundation of WildAid’s success, from our supporters who give during the holiday season to religious leaders who make wildlife conservation a pillar of their faith.
This year, we collaborated with several prominent Buddhist temples in Vietnam on the Lunar New Year/Têt to launch our “Be Their Bodhisattva” (savior) campaign. By urging the public to cultivate a promising start to their new year, we asked temple-goers to pledge against buying any wildlife products, especially rhino horn, ivory and pangolin meat or scales.
This helped our message reach more than 30 million people in Vietnam as celebrity ambassadors and other influencers visited the temples and shared the campaign messages on their own social media accounts along with major news media coverage.
