And no matter how intimidating phone banking may seem, we're there to train you and answer your questions so that you are well prepared when you start your shift. I’ll share a little secret: Many of us seasoned phone bankers also struggle with the first call or two each election season! But then, the jitters go away and we feel confident in the knowledge that we’re working to keep anti-choice extremists out of the halls of Congress. I recently had a conversation with a voter who thought her vote didn’t matter, that the Democrat in her district would win. She didn’t realize how close the numbers were and that her vote could mean the difference for women and girls around the country. If I hadn’t called and had that conversation with her, she never would have voted. She even cast her mail-in ballot while she was on the phone with me!
