Last month, First Lady Suzanne Youngkin spoke at the Hampton Roads Chamber’s Power of Women event in Virginia Beach.

The First Lady spit out vapid #girlboss language about empowering women, particularly in business. She spoke about building a coalition of “Women for Glenn” across the Commonwealth, but neglected to mention what Glenn has done for, or rather to, women.

John, Suzanne’s husband supports a fifteen-week abortion ban for Virginia. This is beyond harmful, but she wants to tout her influence on building women up? Not on our watch. Will you donate $5 to help us elect Hala, and get Suzanne’s husband out of our doctor’s offices?

While Suzanne touts her newfound feminism, Gov. Youngkin’s agenda is actively harming Virginia women. His dream abortion ban would take away our freedom of choice and create massive healthcare and economic costs to families across the Commonwealth.

John, Virginia women are losing their rights and Suzanne is trying to reboot The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Her rhetoric is unhelpful and unwanted but she got one thing right: Virginia women need to stand up. We need to demand better than her husband.
