Gun violence survivors like me have been asking this same question for years, friend.

Marco Rubio promised grieving communities like mine that he would take action on gun violence – and then he turned his back on us to vote against every piece of lifesaving legislation. The truth is, all Marco Rubio cares about is appeasing the same gun lobby that has donated $3.3 million to his campaign. 

Well, we're not going to sit around and wait for Marco Rubio to grow a backbone. In just 19 days, we're going to march to the polls and replace him with Val Demings. Not only is she a fierce advocate who will follow through on her promises – but she also has the opportunity to expand our Democratic Senate majority, so we can abolish the filibuster and pass lifesaving gun violence prevention measures.

But it's not going to be easy to overcome Marco Rubio and the gun lobby supporting him – so I'm working to raise $3.3 million for Val Demings' Senate campaign to match the gun lobby's contributions. I know it's ambitious – but we've already raised over $500,000 – and if everyone reading this email donates $5 we can reach our goal:
