I’ve asked nearly every presidential candidate this question.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Presidential candidates can’t miss our red shirt army! Donate today to help us reach candidates and elected officials in even more communities around the country. All donations will be doubled up to $15,000 thanks to two generous donors!!

Dear John -

I live in Iowa, which means every four years, presidential hopefuls come through my state to try to build support for their campaigns.

This year, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) volunteers like me were ready. We showed up at more than 100 town hall meetings, fish fries, house parties, churches and community rooms to ask candidates about one of the most critical issues for our nation: children!

Along with other amazing volunteers in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, we’ve asked the presidential candidates how they plan to expand high-quality early learning programs, like affordable child care and preschool.

And it worked! Nearly all of the candidates now have a solid plan to expand early learning, if they are elected. Additionally, 5 of them have agreed to make early learning a priority in their first 100 days of office.

We can’t stop now, John! 2020 is going to be a huge year to get candidates on the record up and down the ballot – and we need your help!

Please renew your financial support today to help us make sure that kids’ needs are taken seriously by lawmakers on the campaign trail and on Capitol Hill. And, all donations up to $15,000 made by the end of the year will be DOUBLED.

Asking candidates questions isn’t an easy thing to do, at least not at first.

But, SCAN staff trained volunteers like me to do everything from finding out where the candidates are going to be, positioning ourselves just right to get a question asked and then finally asking the question in an effective way.

Being part of an organization like SCAN helps maximize the impact of individuals – making us more effective. Candidates hear my question in Des Moines, then a volunteer in South Carolina builds on what I asked and on and on this goes. We seem to be everywhere the candidates go they even start to recognize us!

In 2020, we want to ensure that candidates up and down the ballot are asked questions about kids. And we must continue to urge lawmakers to help kids here at home and around the world thrive.

But we can’t do it without the support of people like you, John.

Will you make a donation today?

Thank you for using your voice for kids!!!
