We did incredible things together this year. In states across the country, we demanded action from our lawmakers and we made progress on gun safety.

In this year’s state legislative cycle alone, 23 states and DC have signed 70 gun safety bills into law, building on the progress we’ve made since Parkland.

Here’s a small sample of what that progress looks like this year:

• Four states enacted laws that add a background check requirement or improve on an existing background check law.
• Four states strengthened laws that help keep unattended guns out of the hands of minors.
• Six states enacted laws that help keep firearms away from domestic abusers.

But our work is far from over. Continuing to build momentum in 2020 will take a tremendous amount of grassroots support. So that’s why today I have to ask:

Will you make a $3 donation to Giffords PAC before our final FEC fundraising deadline of 2019? Our goal is to raise $200,000 so we can continue this important work in 2020. Your support will go a long way towards passing more commonsense gun safety laws.

2019 was a record year for gun safety, and none of it would have been possible without your support.

And that’s important, because this president and the Republican Senate haven’t listened to the majority of Americans who want stronger gun laws.

So while they continue to ignore the outcry from Americans, we will keep organizing and fighting back.
