Because of you, major foodservice provider Sodexo is following through for animals! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

The Humane League

This is big.

One of the world’s largest foodservice companies just spelled out a plan to do better for animals!

For the last two months, passionate activists like you have flooded Sodexo’s leadership with thousands of calls and emails. You demanded accountability. You hand-delivered a petition to Sodexo’s HQ. You showed up nationwide at universities where Sodexo serves food—posting flyers, leafleting in cafeterias, and more.

And, thanks in huge part to your support, Sodexo has just escalated all three of its policies for egg-laying hens, chickens raised for meat, and mother pigs.

That’s right. A company that serves 100 million people every day just made actionable, time-bound updates to its welfare commitments across the board. This is life-changing—for pigs who spend their lives in claustrophobic crates, for hens crowded in painful battery cages, and for chickens fated to endure a terrifying slaughter.

It’s proof that animal welfare can’t wait. It’s proof that companies are hearing us.

It’s proof that our movement is winning.

A mobile billboard circled Sodexo’s HQ for days on end. Supporters protested on the ground across the country. A Change.org petition received over 39,000 signatures. This campaign was massive!

This could be a huge moment for animals. Right now, Sodexo’s competitors are incredibly vulnerable to peer pressure. They don’t want to be left behind—but they will be, if they refuse to see the writing on the wall.

The world’s biggest foodservice provider, Compass Group, is still profiting off of extreme animal cruelty—trapping mother pigs in tiny crates, cramming chickens into filthy sheds, and even boiling birds alive. And now it’s Compass’s turn to feel the heat.

Will you put pressure on Compass right now to follow through on its animal welfare promises?

I’M ON IT

I know taking on the biggest foodservice provider in the world is ambitious. But so was our campaign against Sodexo. Time and time again, your actions have shown that there’s strength in numbers. Enough strength to influence the most powerful companies in the world.

Each victory brings us closer to a future where animal welfare isn’t the exception—it’s the norm. Companies that condone cruelty are quickly running out of excuses. As long as animals are suffering in the food industry, we’ll keep fighting for them.

Thank you for leading the way.

For the animals,

P.S. Victory is in accountability. Victory is animals out of cages. And it’ll take all of us to make it happen. If you’re able, a gift of any amount will go a long way towards sending corporations a strong message. Will you help fuel a relentless campaign that Compass can’t ignore?
