Protect orphaned elephants | Help us honor 50 years of lasting memories | Adopt today
Dear John,
For 50 years, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park has provided thrilling experiences while supporting the conservation efforts of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. As we celebrate this milestone, it’s the perfect time to symbolically adopt a Safari Park species.

These symbolic adoptions power our conservation efforts here in San Diego and around the world, helping wildlife like elephants thrive.
Bringing Hope to Orphaned Elephants
In 2018, the Safari Park’s African elephant herd welcomed a new member: Umzula-zuli, or “Zuli.” After Zuli’s birth, his mother, Ndula, was able to participate in a nutritional study that allowed us to analyze the content of her milk. This valuable information contributes to the development of an improved recipe for milk substitutes that our conservation partners in Kenya can use with orphaned elephants before they are reintroduced to native habitats.

By symbolically adopting a species today, you can honor 50 amazing years at the Safari Park and fuel conservation worldwide. Most adoption packages come with a plush animal of your choosing, a cuddly reminder of the impact you can have on elephants and other Safari Park species, including tigers and rhinos.

Don’t miss your opportunity to celebrate the Safari Park’s first 50 years, and save, protect, and care for wildlife across the globe. Your support makes a world of difference.
