John, a new survey has concern over abortion and equal rights top inflation by 22 points as main drivers of young women’s vote in battleground states.

Graph Title: Issue Priorities for Young Likely Voters (18-29) Graph Data: Abortion/Women's Rights: 55% Women and 18% Men; Infation and rising prices: 33% Women and 36% Men; Health care and prescription drugs: 12% Women and 7% Men; Racism: 12% Women and 11% Men; Gun violence: 10% Women and 13% Men; Affordable housing: 9% Women and 15% Men. A new Ms. magazine and Feminist Majority Foundation poll by Lake Research Partners across nine battleground states (AZ, FL, GA, NC, NH, NV, OH, PA, and WI), finds that among young women voters, ages 18-29, abortion and women’s rights are the most important and highly motivating issues in determining their vote. And among women voters of all ages in battleground states, abortion and women’s rights are tied with inflation and rising prices in determining their votes

After the Dobbs decision, women know that their rights can be taken away. This is why they want equal protections guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, the Equal Rights Amendment. The message in this poll from 74% of young women voters is clear: the ERA is more important than ever.

I know you agree.

I also wanted to share Ms. magazine’s Guide to Voting in the 2022 Midterms. In it, you’ll find everything you, your friends, and your family need to know ahead of the election. Like how to register to vote, when is the last day District Of Columbia allows you to register to vote, how and when your state allows you to cast your ballot, and if District Of Columbia allows for same-day registration — there are 21 states that do! Be sure to look at what District Of Columbia allows in the guide.

Take a look and then share it with every equal rights supporter you know!

Elections are usually all about turnout and this one is no different. Armed with this guide, and the majority of young women voters, we can ensure our voices are heard.

For equality,
Ellie
