The year is almost over – and we need you to give now to support our fight.
Dear Friend,
Amazon’s success has been made possible by workers who are making low wages while working in unsafe and often horrid conditions in the company’s massive warehouses. At the same time, it has been estimated that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos makes an estimated $230,000 every minute, while an average Amazon worker makes approximately $35,000 annually.
This is a stunning example of corporate greed that drives the income inequality we see in marginalized communities throughout the country. Amazon warehouse workers and delivery drivers should be able to make ends meet to sustain support for themselves and their families—not fighting for Jeff Bezos’s scraps.
Together with our partners, we’re planning massive campaigns next year to fight companies like Amazon and defend their workers from exploitation – and your support will help make them a reality.
Taking on Amazon isn’t easy – they’ll spend whatever it takes to avoid doing what is right for their workers and the environment. That’s why this work is so critical. If we don’t meet our year-end fundraising goals, we might not have the resources to do our best work next year.
