They can steal our signs but they can’t silence our movement for change in Idaho.

John – Our grassroots campaign is really catching fire, and it clearly has the other side rattled.

We’re facing an epidemic of our extremely-popular pride-flag signs being stolen or destroyed. Here’s what one supporter noted on Twitter:

A composite of screenshots of two tweets from a David Roth supporter. The first tweet shows two photos side-by-side, one with David’s sign and one without, noting that David’s sign is the only sign stolen among Democratic candidates and implying the reason it was stolen is because David is the only openly gay candidate on the ballot. The second tweet indicates the supporter is replacing the stolen sign with two just like it.

With only days until the start of early voting, and less than three weeks before the general election, my team and I have decided that our BEST strategy is to massively scale up our digital voter outreach. Can you pitch in now to help us contact the voters we need to flip this U.S. Senate seat?

I’m disappointed, but I can’t say that I’m shocked that our campaign signs are being targeted. The simple fact is that the far right has declared war on the LGBTQ+ community, and as an openly gay man running for the United States Senate, our campaign is a big target.

But I refuse to let this discourage me or my team, because throughout this campaign I’ve also experienced a tremendous outpouring of love, solidarity, and support from every corner of our state – and even around the country.

I’ve talked with parents of LGBTQ youth who are struggling under a wave of new right-wing laws targeting our community, and I am told time and time again how much their children are encouraged to see an openly gay man run for an office like United States Senate.

They can trash our signs if they want to. What they can’t do is stop this movement we’ve started.

Idaho is ready for change. I hear it from all the voters I’ve met across the state. They’re ready for a Senator who listens to and understands the struggles of ordinary Idahoans.

Idaho is my home, and I say Idaho is too great for hate. I will never stop fighting for this community, and I hope you will join me.

- David

David Roth is a single, gay dad running to flip a U.S. Senate seat in Idaho. His opponent is an extremist “pro-life” Republican who’s been in politics for 37 years. David stepped up to serve the state that has been his home most of his life, where he is now raising his two young sons, because every state is worth fighting for. There has never been an openly gay man elected to the U.S. Senate. Help us make history this year. Pitch in now to flip this seat and send David to D.C.
