A Strange Loop Producer's Picks Lyceum Theatre See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer’s Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund’s programs and services. Winner of the 2022 Tony Award for Best Musical, Michael R. Jackson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork exposes the heart and soul of a young artist grappling with desires, identity and instincts he both loves and loathes. Usher is a Black, queer writer, working a day job he hates while writing his original musical: a piece about a Black, queer writer, working a day job he hates while writing his original musical. This blistering, momentous musical follows a young artist at war with a host of demons—not least of which, the punishing thoughts in his own head—in an attempt to capture and understand his own strange loop.
