With just a couple of short weeks until ballots are tallied in the midterm election, I wanted to take a moment to share a quick story about Mike Levin.

After Donald Trump was elected in 2016, I knew Democrats in Congress would have our hands full restraining his power and holding Republicans accountable. We were in the minority at the time, and the stakes in our fight to win back the House majority felt enormous.

We needed strong candidates, and Mike Levin was the very first congressional endorsement I made that year. His win became a part of the historic gains we made in California, and his victory ultimately helped us retake the House.

I endorsed Mike because it was immediately clear he was both qualified and eager to create positive change. Truth be told, he’s been one of the most prolific new members in our caucus ever since – exceeding even the wild expectations I had for him. He’s spearheaded a number of bills and delivered consistently on issues that touch everyday lives – health care access, addressing climate change, supporting our veterans, and reducing gun violence. And Mike has become a real force.

We need to keep Mike Levin in Congress, but as it stands he’s facing his toughest election yet. Please chip in a donation of $3 to help powe Mike through these finals weeks and to a third term in Congress.
