In Sierra Leone, where immunization is valued, but not fully adhered to, researcher Anne Karing worked with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and IPA to test the impact of a small social incentive on parents' decisions to take their children for vaccinations. What did they find? (Click on the correct answer.)

3.

The bracelets did not change immunization rates, as most parents did not adhere to the program and removed the bracelets.

Without evidence, decision-makers often have to guess the answers to questions like this. IPA works with researchers and our partners to generate evidence on what works, so organizations and governments can make informed decisions.
