Please show your support for LGBTQ students

John, it’s been a tough year for LGBTQ students, teachers, and their allies.

This fall, U.S. Attorney General, William Barr, described LGBTQ issues in schools as “ground zero” in the “secular war on religion.” He pledged that the Department of Justice would be at the forefront of the fight against GLSEN’s work to make schools safe and affirming spaces for all students.

This is serious. LGBTQ students are under attack and need your help. John, please show your support for LGBTQ students with a donation today.

Because the sad truth is that the policy and rhetoric of the Trump administration have direct and immediate consequences at the local level:

  • In Georgia, a school district took steps to support a transgender student with inclusive policies—but had to close their schools because of death threats received in response.

  • In Virginia, an anti-LGBTQ organization is suing for the right to deliberately mis-gender transgender students—a practice with significant, documented consequences for students.

John, this has to stop. Please support LGBTQ students today.

With your help, our national staff and local chapters can be there for students, educators, and communities when they need us the most. Together we will make life better for the 8 million LGBTQ students in K-12 classrooms, regardless of what happens in Washington, DC.

Your year-end gift today will make a difference.
