John, I know that you have long wanted Trump’s handpicked
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to be fired. Frankly, I have too. Sadly,
though, he’s still there.
And as millions of Americans vote by mail across the country, it’s
critically important that we all understand this next point:
A federal judge has ruled that DeJoy’s changes to the U.S. Postal Service
before the 2020 election harmed mail delivery and impeded voting by mail
at the height of the pandemic.

The judge ruled that states, counties, and cities that filed suit against
DeJoy proved that his delays affected their ability to provide safe
alternatives to in-person voting at the height of the pandemic.
And DeJoy bypassed regulators he was required to notify of any changes.
DeJoy’s general counsel at the Postal Service used strongarm tactics to
intimidate states and threaten that if they did not pay first class
postage on ballots, then voters may not receive them in time to vote by
mail.
DeJoy was a Republican National Committee money man. A personal ally of
the disgraced, twice-impeached ex-president. An executive for a direct
competitor to the USPS. It’s unconscionable that he is still running the
USPS two years later as Americans are once again voting by the millions.
[ [link removed] ]John, please add your name to my petition demanding Louis
DeJoy’s removal as Postmaster General by the USPS Board of Governors.

We’ve long known that DeJoy’s conflicts of interest and loyalty to the GOP
partisans made him unfit to serve as Postmaster General — now a federal
judge has ruled that his leadership directly impacted our voting rights.
Enough is enough. It’s time for DeJoy to go.
Thanks for joining me in calling for a USPS that puts public service above
DeJoy’s private, personal interests.
