It is gut-wrenching to hear a fast food worker earning an unlivable wage talk about unwanted touching, taunting, and so much worse — and how they feel no one is there to support them.

As the director of TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund, which is housed and administered by the National Women’s Law Center Fund, I hear far too many stories of sexual harassment by perpetrators who think they can get away with it because they deem their target unimportant and powerless.

It makes me incredibly angry — but most of all, it makes me fired up to fight back.

We support the thousands of courageous women who have come forward at great risk to themselves, to ask for our help in calling out their harassers, to seek the justice they deserve, and to protect others from similar behavior.

Because no worker — at any job — should ever have to endure abuse for a paycheck.
