Reporting Live from the People's Convention in Detroit, Michigan!

Here in Detroit, we're building the democracy we all deserve. We're gathering 1500+ community leaders -– from leading organizations across the country, to strategize together about how we can create a country where we all have the freedom to thrive together.

These organizers have taken the time and bore the expense of the trip cross country to be together to save our democracy. These folks aren’t wealthy. But through crafty fundraising efforts and time away from their families as the primary care-givers, they were willing to sacrifice for the issues that affect our families and our communities. Are you willing to match their commitment?

The people here will be leading the action and door-knocking and meetings on the streets and in our communities, holding our elected officials in Washington, DC accountable, and registering and mobilizing millions of voters over the coming years.

We are learning today, we are celebrating today – so we can fight together tomorrow.
