November 8th.

Make school leaders' voices heard by voting this November! On November 8th, the future of public education and labor will be on the line as the United States holds elections for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 seats in the Senate, 39 gubernatorial elections, as well as numerous other state and local elections, including critical school board elections.

We need school leaders like you to vote for candidates who will support funding for public education, lift up the power of workers, and ensure that the future of our country is strong. Here’s how you can get ready for election day:

  1. Make sure you are registered to vote by visiting https://vote.gov/.

  2. See which candidates will be on the ballot where you live by visiting https://ballotpedia.org/Sample_Ballot_Lookup.

  3. Not able to vote in-person on November 8th? Look into early voting in your state by visiting https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/ or request your absentee ballot by visiting https://www.vote.org/absentee-ballot/.

Once you’ve voted, make sure to encourage others to vote as well! Take a picture of yourself with your “I voted” sticker and post it to social media. If posting to Facebook or Twitter, make sure to tag @AFSAunion so that other AFSA members can see you taking action.
