Anonymous, I wanted to make sure that you saw this. Your support is what makes all of Environment Colorado's work possible -- and as we gear up for 2020, it's critical that we have the resources it takes to win.

With massive bee die-offs, public lands on the chopping block, and rising global temperatures, you and I both know that we face serious threats to our environment.

We need to go big if we're going to turn the tide in 2020. Donate today to help ensure that Environment Colorado can start the new year strong.

Thank you,

Hannah

Dear Anonymous,

2019 was a challenging year for our environment.

The plastic pollution crisis continues to contaminate waterways and threaten wildlife.1 Bees are dying faster than ever, and the Trump administration is trying to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas drilling.2,3

But 2019 was also filled with many successes.

Thanks to supporters like you, Environment Colorado and our national network have won efforts to move our country beyond plastic, from statewide pro-recycling laws to the first statewide plastic bag ban in California. In states across the country, we've introduced legislation restricting the use of bee-killing neonicotinoids, after having previously won in three states. We also played an important role in passing a bill through the U.S. House of Representatives protecting the Arctic from destructive development.

Anonymous, it's because of you that we're able to continue our urgent work and achieve results. Please review your 2019 Environment Colorado Member Record and show your support with an end-of-year gift.

Defending our environment requires independent research, tough-minded advocacy and spirited grassroots action. That's where you come in, Anonymous. Your support gives us the resources we need to stand up for a cleaner, greener, more sustainable world.

Here are just some of our critical campaigns that your gift will go on to support:

  • Wildlife Over Waste: Our goal is to spare whales, birds, fish and other wildlife from the harm caused by needless plastic pollution by banning takeout plastic foam cups and containers.
  • No Bees, No Food: Our national network is campaigning across all levels of government to restrict bee-killing neonicotinoid pesticides and protect habitat for bees.
  • Environmental Defense: We're pulling out all the stops to defend the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and protect caribou, polar bears and other wildlife from attempts to drill for oil.

As we plan for this work and more in the year ahead, we need to know we have the support and resources to win.

We've set a goal of raising $200,000 by midnight, Dec. 31, to start the new year off strong. Make your end-of-year donation today.

Thank you for making it all possible,

Hannah Collazo
