Dear John,
On October 9, Tropical Storm Julia hit El Salvador. The storm brought 24 hours of heavy rains and strong winds, causing widespread damage, flooding, and landslides. In assessing needs, our partners have identified 150 families who have been displaced from their homes and are in need of humanitarian assistance. AFSC is positioned to respond – but we need your help. Will you donate to help families who lost their homes and support AFSC’s ongoing work in the region? AFSC has worked in El Salvador for years. We have long-standing partnerships with Asociación Nuevo Amanecer El Salvador (ANADES) and the Center for Exchange and Solidarity (CIS), our partners in this effort. Your kindness and generosity will make all the difference as we work together to respond. Your gift will: - Bring food, water, and hygiene supplies to families who have been displaced.
- Provide roof sheets to help people return to their homes.
-
Support communities as they move forward with recovery efforts and their long-term work for peace.
Caring people like you make our work possible. If you are able, please make a gift today.
In peace, |
