Every year, thousands of people are risking their lives attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea—doing whatever it takes to flee horrific levels of violence, extortion, torture, and more in their home countries.
Flimsy rafts and dangerous waters too often result in death during this crossing—and we refuse to stand by as people drown. It’s why our teams are some of the few in place, ready with rescue boats and medical aid to provide lifesaving emergency care, food, water, and even psychological care to those most in need.
We need to be ready to go wherever we are needed most, in the Mediterranean and across the world. But that means meeting our year-end fundraising goal by Dec. 31. Help us save more lives in 2020:
