ICYMI, John: A.G. Holder appeared on Joy Reid’s show on MSNBC to warn about the importance of down-ballot races in this year’s election.

Eric Holder: "Understand that state legislative races really matter and we should not be only focused on [the] federal... Who's running for governor, who controls these state legislatures is really, really important. And so [Americans must] vote up and down the ballot for candidates who will be Democracy Defenders."

“What we're seeing throughout the country [is] Republican legislatures ignoring their own supreme courts, doing things totally inconsistent with both their state constitutions and federal statutes” when it comes to gerrymandering and more.
