Dear John --

Invitation to Public Meeting on Education and Immigration

Two of the biggest causes for concern across the country right now are in our failing immigration and education sectors.

Despite the border opening earlier this year, visa processing remains backlogged and delayed, and staff shortages are impacting nearly every type of business in the region – whether that be manufacturing, farming, supermarkets, hairdressers, or cafes.

In the education sector, less than half of our children are attending school regularly, the number of unenrolled children has doubled, and our literacy and numeracy achievement rates are bombing.

I am hosting a public meeting with National’s spokesperson for both immigration and education, Erica Stanford to listen to your concerns, share our plans to improve the sectors, and answer any questions you have.

📅 Friday 28 October
🕓 6:00pm
📍 Te Ara Ātea (Rolleston Library), 56 Tennyson Street, Rolleston
