Team -- it probably won’t surprise you to hear that I’ve thought a lot over the years about protecting our country.
Of course, that was a central purpose to my life in the Marines. But there are so many different ways to protect and serve our country, whether it’s teachers serving in classrooms, parents raising their kids with strong values and safe homes, or activists pushing for policies that improve our lives.
Today, I want to add one more thing to the list: defending our democracy from those who want to dismantle it for the benefit of one man.
Donald Trump and his band of election deniers have made it clear they’re going to do whatever it takes to get him back in the White House. When people like you and me talk to friends and family about the stakes of this election, or offer time or money to folks who are doing critical work to reach voters in key states, we are taking tangible steps toward protecting our country.
Right here, right now, we all have a chance to defend our country against an active threat -- and I, for one, am going to take it.
Will you join me?
If so, please consider making a donation to The American SOS Project before tonight’s midnight FEC fundraising deadline. It’s the very last one before the election, so it’s our one last shot to show we’ve got the resources we need to defeat Trump and his cronies:

If donating tonight isn’t for you, that’s OK -- I’m glad you’re on this team.
Thank you for everything you do for this organization and this country.
