In less than 4 hours, Chuck Grassley and I are facing our final federally-mandated FEC fundraising deadline. After midnight tonight, we’ll both be required by law to file our final public report with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) saying how much we’ve raised and from how many donors.
In the most recent FEC report, we raised TWICE what Chuck Grassley did... without one dime from corporate PACs and special interests. This report, we have an opportunity to outraise Grassley once again, purely with the help of grassroots donors, and shock Mitch McConnell and all the Republicans.
The polling shows this will be one of the closest races in the country. Grassley’s approval ratings are lower than they’ve ever been, and a brand-new poll from the gold-standard Des Moines Register shows me only three points down – and closing!
But with Senate control at stake, McConnell and his Super PACs are spending millions to attack me – and their lie-filled ads are blanketing the entire state.
This is your last opportunity to show Grassley, McConnell, and the Democratic establishment that we are going to turn Iowa blue this November.
