Yesterday, President Biden announced his plan to codify Roe: If Democrats protect and expand the pro-choice majority in Congress, we’ll be able to enshrine reproductive rights into federal law, putting a stop to Republicans’ efforts to ban abortion across the country.

The Supreme Court’s decision in June to overturn Roe has plunged our medical and legal systems into chaos as patients and doctors navigate an ever-changing landscape.

And yet, Republicans continue to pursue an anti-choice agenda, even refusing to protect doctors providing legal reproductive care.

It’s more urgent than ever: abortion is on the ballot in November. We must continue to elect pro-choice lawmakers who will protect the full range of reproductive care.
