Dear John,
Sign the petition: Republicans in Virginia will stop at nothing to actively terrorize marginalized communities. Tell Governor Glenn Youngkin to stop attacking vulnerable students.
A proposal from the Youngkin administration would create a new model policy that directly attacks and undermines any progress made to protect trans students. The new policy would require schools to categorize trans students by their “biological sex” when it comes to participating in activities and using the bathroom, locker room and other facilities.
Youngkin would also out students to potentially hostile parents if they would like to use their correct names or pronouns at school.
It’s no mystery that Republicans will continue these vitriolic and baseless attacks against our most vulnerable communities. They have proven this to us throughout their history and they are openly committed to that legacy.
If this makes you angry, turn your anger to action. We need widespread outrage at this new proposed policy to prevent it from going through. Add your name now.
We need to take our anger, our fear, our passion, and our love for one another and show that Virginia is for lovers — not oppressors.

Beyond Virginia, our community will not be intimidated, oppressed, or legislated out of the society we all live in.
We have to fight for one another and protect the basic liberties and fundamental rights of all Americans–not just a select few.
Together, we can make our voices heard and stop leaders like Youngkin from stomping over the human rights of vulnerable students. Sign our petition, which includes a link to submit your public comments before the comment period ends on October 26.
Thanks for all you do,
