How we’re building an economy where everyone can thrive. View in Web Browser [link removed] HIGHLIGHTS RESOURCES FROM
ACROSS THE COMMUNITY WEBINARS & EVENTS IN THE MEDIA From the President
Dear Friends,
Astounding.
That is the word that comes to mind when I reflect on our time at the Summit.
Just one month ago, over 1,000 of us gathered in Atlanta, GA to confront the question, ‘how do we reimagine our economy to work for all of us?’
Together, we committed to investing in Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and AAPI entrepreneurs of color [[link removed]]. Together, we called for a disruption to the status quo that has kept BIPOC communities in poverty [[link removed]]. Together, we celebrated the advances we’re making every day to transform our systems for racial economic justice.
When our difficult but necessary work feels daunting, I will bring my mind back to these memories to remind myself of the power of our movement and our togetherness.
Here's how we’ve hit the ground running since the Summit:
We’re continuing to call out and unpack the connections between violence and economic inequity [[link removed]] with our partners at March for Our Lives.
We’re delving into the racist and White supremacist roots of the racial wealth gap in housing policies and offering tangible solutions on how to increase wealth for BIPOC communities through inclusionary zoning policies and programs [[link removed]].
And this month, and every month, we’re striving to honor and celebrate the contributions of Latinx/Latine members of our community as we mark both Hispanic Heritage Month and National Latina Equal Pay Day.
We hope you’ll continue to lean into the power of our togetherness,
Gary L. Cunningham
