Our mission at New Politics is to train, support, and elect service-oriented leaders with the courage to put community and country over partisan politics. Right now, we’re sharing ways that our greater New Politics team (that’s you!) can get in and support our incredible candidates.
We want to give you tangible ways to join our mission and support our candidates – including ways beyond just giving money. It’s service-focused leaders who run for office that are putting our mission into action; when they win, we win! With a little bit of your time in the coming weeks, you can make a real difference for these candidates.
Below are two of our servant-leader candidates who could use your help in the final stretch:
Bobbie Daniel is the daughter of a coal miner and a hairdresser. Born and raised in Mesa County, Bobbie worked her way through school before serving in AmeriCorps. Her service took her to Texas, where she learned the invaluable lesson that if a problem needs fixing, don’t wait for someone else to step up when you have the tools and resources to do it yourself.
Bobbie is running for Mesa County Commissioner because she has the perspective on her community. That perspective has shown that her community needs an advocate, someone who will do the job because it needs to be done.

Saira is a civil rights attorney, a woman of color, and a mother to three wonderful children running for a State Representative seat in Georgia. Raised and educated in Georgia, Saira served for two years in the Peace Corps in Honduras before returning to the states to achieve a law degree. As an attorney, Saira has worked at the Southern Poverty Law Center and as the Director of Voter Protection during the 2020 election.
Saira knows that Georgians need expanded voting rights. Breaking down barriers to the ballot has been the hallmark of her career and now she’s taking that fight to the state house.

Thank you for joining these servant-leaders as they live out the mission of New Politics in every corner of our nation.
New Politics
We support outstanding military veterans and national service leaders, alumni of programs like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to step up and serve our country again, this time through politics. We were proud to be behind the movement of veterans who ran for office for the first time in 2018, and we have big plans to grow into the future.
