Dear Friend,

Who are the veterans in your life?

A relative, a neighbor, a co-worker? This Veterans Day, join us in honoring them and others who bravely served our country.

Right now, you're invited to send a note of encouragement and appreciation to a veteran in our care. It will be directly shared out across our Veteran VOA centers nationwide for the Veterans Day holiday.

Veteran Katrina embodies every ounce of the courage, might, and perseverance that characterize our veteran community.

After her eight years of military service, she returned home to fight another personal battle, against her husband who had become dangerously abusive.

Pregnant and intent on a better life, Katrina found the courage to escape her living situation. But her financial challenges and health issues crushed her ability to provide for her baby and herself. Katrina got help from VOA and her life changed.

“They gave me toiletries, Pampers, milk and other necessities...they truly helped me get back on my feet.”

Katrina continued to thrive and is now employed with our Veterans Program helping other struggling vets. She’s paying it forward, thankful for the critical support from VOA that changed her life.

I know you appreciate the value of health and wellness for our U.S. military members and veterans. I hope you can spare a minute to jot a note and let them know you care. It will mean so much to them!

Yes, I'll Thank A Vet >

Gratefully,
