Hi John,
It’s Emily, Josh Riley’s Finance Director. I’m reaching out to ask for a contribution of $5, $10 or more before tonight’s fundraising deadline, but first I’ll explain why it’s so important.
John, tonight is the deadline to have your donation count against what’s called our “pre-general” report, which covers all contributions between October 1st and October 19th. It’s the last public report that we file before the election, and one more opportunity to show your support for Josh.
One thing we’re really proud on this campaign is the level of grassroots support. We just crunched the numbers after the end of September, and check this out:
- Over 80% of all contributions to this campaign are $50 or below;
- And over 70% of all contributions to this campaign are $25 or below.
We’re hoping these numbers will only increase after tonight’s report. It’s a stark contrast to the anti-union corporate PACs and fossil fuel special interests that are funneling thousands of dollars into extremist Republican Marc Molinaro’s campaign.
So I’m setting a goal to raise another $10,000 from online grassroots supporters like you before midnight.
