Hi John,
BREAKING: The FTC has extended the deadline for public feedback on how companies use dangerous surveillance tech and abuse your personal information.[1] Over the next month, we’re doubling our efforts to make sure the FTC hears from people like you, and takes serious action to stop harmful corporate data abuse.[2]

The last time the FTC went through a rule-making like this was to address how Big Tobacco used manipulative practices to market its products. That was game changing, and this is our opportunity to get the FTC to pass similar regulations that limit how companies can collect and use your personal data. Otherwise, companies like Amazon will continue to recklessly collect and share very personal information without a care for how they may endanger individuals and their communities.
With this extended deadline, we have an opportunity to get more comments to the FTC, but we have to keep up the pressure now. There’s no waiting. We all know how quickly a month flies by.
Help fight for strong regulations to keep you safe →
Without the support from people like you, the FTC will simply be overrun with opposition funded by Google, Meta, Amazon and other companies who depend on highly sensitive data to run their business and make money hand over fist.
We’ve built a unique comment submission tool that makes it easy for people to share their thoughts with the FTC. Your support will allow us to do more to share our tool: we can connect with more organizations and more of our supporters via email, text, and social media. We'll also be able to create videos and visuals that reach people far and wide. Our goal is to get 10,000 comments submitted in support of a strong rule that will stop companies from using abusive surveillance tactics that threaten your rights.
Will you consider supporting this plan to get more public comments? This is a critical moment in which public engagement can outweigh Big Tech cash.
