The job of an upper-level administrator is hard. They're often unnecessarily polarized by politics, stigma, sexism, and so on. When you're confident in your craft, your voice comes through loud and clear, but it is difficult to always be confident when you have many students depending on you.

To the professionals who are working to prevent drug misuse among college students, either on campus or in a community, Mallory Jordan has only encouragements. No matter how difficult your job gets, you have to take the time to be seen and heard. Your passion, time, and energy are appreciated by the students, colleagues, friends, and family members around you.

"Whether you hold a title, you have a big position, a lot of power, ultimately, we're all people at the end of the day."
