Today marks 20 days until Election Day, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to ask you to chip in $20 to defend our district, IL-06.

And, before you can say it – yes, I know that this is a fundraising gimmick.

There are a few things you should know about this race:

RealClearPolitics just increased Republicans’ chances of flipping IL-06 red – officially moving our must-win House race into “toss-up” territory.

NBC Chicago has confirmed that our battleground race in IL-06 could decide control of the House.

We’re falling $9,239 short of our online fundraising goal and only have a few hours left to make up the difference. What we raise before midnight will determine how much we can invest in TV ads and mailers in the final days of this race.

Asking you for $20 for the 20 days until the election may sound cheesy, but the reasons to chip in couldn’t be more serious.
