Editor's Note:
The newest attempt to cast doubts on the integrity of the Supreme Court includes calls for justices to disclose information about their working spouses that has never been required before. As Mark Paoletta describes, the recent proposal from Politico to suddenly create new requirements that are nowhere else in the federal government is a transparent partisan play to decrease the public's trust in the objectivity of a conservative court. It needs to be dismissed without a second thought. Reprinted with permission. Pat Daugherty, Ed.D.
