What are Republicans so afraid of?

Hi Friend,

I think we can all agree that it’s only fair that the people who want to represent us in government ought to face their opponents and answer a few constructive questions. Then tell me -- why is almost every Texas Republican refusing to debate?

Well Friend, the answer to that is simple. It’s because they’re scared. They’re scared to own up to their failed policies. They’re scared to answer for their radical agendas. And they’re scared to face the voters they’ve neglected time and again. Sign the petition demanding Texas Republicans show up to the debate stage:

But our Democratic candidates aren’t scared -- because we know our values are shared by the majority of Texans. We believe in a democracy where everyone has the opportunity to make their voices heard. Not where dirty deals are made behind closed doors.

Despite being asked to debate, Dan Patrick, Ken Paxton, and Wayne Christian won’t show -- because Friend, they have nothing to gain. They benefit from voters being left in the dark. They don’t want to answer the hard questions or tell the truth about what they really believe.

And they’re not the only ones hiding in the shadows. Monica de la Cruz and Mayra Flores refuse to face the South Texas communities they’re running to represent. And Friend, if that’s not a red flag I don’t know what is.

Here’s the bottom line: any Republican shirking a debate is a coward. And someone that cowardly doesn’t deserve the power of elected office. So with just 20 days until Election Day, will you chip in $7 to fund our efforts to vote out these hacks once and for all?

We’re so close to the end here, and if we want to elect real leaders to represent us, we need everyone with us in this fight to the finish.

Let’s do the damn thing y’all,
