Dear John,

As we head into winter, event organisers all across the UK are booking their Christmas events. From street parades to shopping centre stalls, many of these will include animals.

Animals like reindeer, camels, and even penguins will be forced to endure long hours on the road, loud noises, bright lights and busy crowds, all of which is extremely stressful for any animal and so similar to life in a circus.

Animals are not props and we must end this misery now!

That’s why we need your help today, to help us run this campaign once again. Will you make a donation today and help us to hit the ground running this year? ([link removed])
DONATE NOW ([link removed])
We have already begun searching for events, and we will be contacting event organisers as they are identified.

With your gift today we will also be able to:
* Run more online actions than ever before to let everyone speak out for animals in need
* Provide support to groups and individuals with campaigns material so they can get out and protest against this cruelty
* Contact councils to ask them to pledge not to book these cruel events
* Run a wider campaign across social media to highlight the suffering that these animals endure each and every Christmas

Your donation really will make a difference to the lives of animals this festive period!

Baby reindeer forced to parade through the busy streets of a city centre
It may seem early to start talking about Christmas events, but we need to be one step ahead of those who intend to exploit animals at this time of year so we can prevent as many events from happening and help as many animals as possible.

Events such as the Bradford Reindeer Parade. Last year we were sent pictures which showed reindeer forced to walk through the streets past the busy crowds, and loud noises. They even had a baby reindeer! This poor baby looked terrified. She was tied to the back of a sleigh and made to suffer the stress of such an event at only a few months old. This was such a heart-breaking scene and one we want to stop from happening again!

But we need your help to achieve this!

Penguins used at an event to entertain the crowds
Of course, it is not just reindeer that suffer. Penguins, owls, camels, and so many others are also exploited at this time of year. This must STOP now! And with your donation we will again make huge strides to end this cruelty at Christmas!

Last year, with your help, we made a real difference to the lives of so many animals. And this year we aim to do more! Reach out to more event organisers, get more events cancelled, have more protests and more online actions. But we can’t do this without your support!

The tide is turning, and the balance is shifting towards cruelty-free Christmases, and we, with your help and support, will be there every step of the way until we reach a future free from animal exploitation.

For the animals,
