‘Abuse of Power’: Biden DOJ Targets Another Pro-Lifer With FACE Act Charges <[link removed]> - The Justice Department has charged yet another pro-life activist with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act—this time, an activist from the same pro-life group that discovered preemie-sized aborted babies’ remains outside a Washington, D.C., abortion clinic. A D.C. federal grand jury’s two-count superseding indictment charged 25-year-old Herb Geraghty with conspiracy against rights and FACE Act offenses for blocking the entrance to an abortion clinic in October 2020, the Justice Department said in a release <[link removed]>. The pro-life activists had blockaded <[link removed]> the entrance to the abortion clinic, the D.C.-based Washington Surgi-Clinic, to “prevent women from entering the clinic to murder their children.” “This is a clear abuse of power and a sign that the Biden administration is using the Department of Justice to attack political targets—particularly those of us who

School Board Members Walk Out on Father Who Waited a Year to Have His Grievance Heard <[link removed]> – Shortly after he got arrested for speaking out at a school board meeting <[link removed]> last year, a Texas father filed a grievance with the school board, which finally put that grievance on the agenda for a meeting last Thursday. Joe Biden helped cause this global downturn. He’s in no position to lecture Truss <[link removed]> – Biden’s big-government approach, pushing America’s national debt ever higher, has forced the Federal Reserve to
rapidly raise interest rates in an effort to cool down the US economy, with far-reaching global implications, including for the UK. The excessively strong dollar is forcing down currencies everywhere, exporting US inflation and distorting balances of trade. The worldwide economic downturn is being led by the most Left-wing presidency in American history, with an insatiable appetite for spending taxpayer money, most recently under the ludicrous guise of the “Inflation Reduction
Act” <[link removed]>, to the tune of over $700 billion. But don't expect a recognition of this reality. Rather, Biden and his lackies in Congress – particularly Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who seems to hold a special grudge against the British – will continue to snipe at London from across the pond. It forms part of a track record: look at how they have behaved over the contentious issue of the Northern Ireland Protocol, with the White House and Congressional Democrats issuing thinly-veiled threats at Downing Street if it dared to ditch the flawed agreement. Biden thinks nothing of menacing the British if he thinks it will play well domestically to the protectionist lobby, while appeasing Ireland and the European Union. It seems, though, that their animosity towards Liz Truss runs deeper still. They view her as a dangerous free-marketer, a radical Thatcherite tax-cutter, and also a possible inspiration for their political adversaries. Her rightful ambition for growth runs contrary to the stay-in-your-lane, managed decline of the International Monetary

Justice Department Harasses Citizens for Exercising First Amendment Rights <[link removed]> - The Justice Department has hit Eagle Forum of Alabama with a voluminous subpoena <[link removed]> that violates the organization’s First Amendment rights to speak freely, engage in the political process, and talk to its elected representatives. It’s an intimidation tactic, pure and simple, and shows just how partisan the Justice Department has become. This out-of-control behavior should scare every citizen and volunteer organization, no matter where they stand on the political or social spectrum. Eagle Forum of Alabama is a small nonprofit. It has one full-time employee and one part-time employee. Virtually all of its work on issues of interest to its members is done by volunteers. It is the quintessential, uniquely American grassroots membership organization that French historian Alexis de Tocqueville lauded in “Democracy in America <[link removed]>.” As Eagle Forum’s motion to quash <[link removed]> the government
subpoena says, one issue that its members have been concerned over is “gender-altering medical treatment to minors” and the “permanent and adverse effects of such medical procedures on those minors.” Those serious, lifelong effects deeply concern many physicians and parents. Heritage

“transitory.”  Whoops. The average 401(k) plan had over $135,000 at the start of this year. Today, those assets have shrunk on average to about $101,000. In other words, the average 401(k) plan is down about $34,000 — more than 25% in less than one year! (In terms of purchasing power, inflation also has brought the “real value,” in 2021 dollars, of the average 401(k) down another $5,000, from $101,000 to $96,000.) A year ago, the White House insultingly tweeted out that inflation is merely “a high-class problem.”

‘Michigan could become Texas’ — Voters see stark choice on abortion referendum <[link removed]>— At face value, proponents of Michigan’s Proposition 3
constitutional amendment argue that it would protect a woman’s right to choose an abortion. What they fail to mention, however, is that it would enable a woman to get an abortion for all nine months of pregnancy, destroy parental rights, encourage minors to make life-changing decisions about their reproductive capability under the influence of ideologically motived schoolteachers or adults, and overshadow the state’s ban on taxpayer funding going towards abortion, contraception,
cross-sex hormones, and more. The amendment does not specify who is included as an “individual,” or if there are any age requirements. Because of the amendments text, a minor is guaranteed these rights regardless of parental consent. Additionally, it’s definition of “reproductive freedom” includes, but is not limited to, abortion, pregnancy, sterilization surgeries, contraception, and infertility treatments. This is huge. The amendment would not only ensure access to abortion for all nine months of pregnancy (given the weak “life, mental health, or physical health” exception for the mother), but it would preempt the nearly 70 state laws that address each of these areas of reproductive freedom. In short, the amendment would give minors or adult men/woman the right to abortion, transgender surgeries, cross-sex hormones, and even IVF/surrogacy. Heritage Expert: Emma Waters <[link removed]> 
 
Central Bank Digital Currencies: Potential Financial Catastrophe in Search of a Problem <[link removed]> - The White House released a framework <[link removed]> recently on regulation of digital assets that included a call for the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department to continue behind-the-scenes efforts to impose a government-run cryptocurrency known as a Central Bank Digital Coin. A Central Bank Digital Coin would be one of the most authoritarian—and one of the most reckless—government scheme of the past 50 years. It would gamble with our economy and our financial system, threaten our fundamental liberties, and could, ironically, reduce the dollar’s existing prestige. Instead of copying China’s shriveled financial markets and totalitarian surveillance, Congress should respect and support market solutions to the domestic problems government has already created, solutions from private stablecoins to CashApp and other payment apps.
