Friend,

I’m so proud of the campaign we’ve built together. We’ve shaped the debate on so many important issues, and your input has been invaluable in ensuring we put people first in every aspect of our campaign.

When we crafted our Equality for People with Disabilities plan, we did it by working with accessibility leaders who have led on these issues for years.

Together, members of my team and I visited homeless encampments, met with advocacy leaders, and talked with homeowners and renters about the struggles they face.

Before I released a plan to eliminate lead as a major health threat, I visited Flint and met with folks on the frontline of the water crisis.

We worked with tribal leaders before releasing the first Indigenous communities policy to better understand how we can build relationships based on respect.

Each plan is more than a set of policies and goals we’d like to achieve—they are roadmaps designed with the help of countless people whose work and lives will be impacted the most.

It’s been an incredibly humbling and enlightening experience. I couldn’t be more thankful to have your support as we head into the New Year together.

No one person has the answers to all of our problems, and we get better by learning from each other. This campaign continues to get better because of you.

We know that the year ahead will be even better than the last.

With respect,
Julián

No one like Julián Castro has ever been in the Oval Office. His grandmother immigrated here from Mexico when she was just 7 years old. She never got past the 4th grade, but she provided for her family by working as a maid and a housekeeper.

Now, her grandson is running for President of the United States. Against all odds, grassroots Democrats like YOU helped him qualify for the Democratic debates and sent him to the front of the pack of Democratic candidates.

We know we send you a lot of emails, but that’s because we’re relying on grassroots supporters to overcome our next big challenge:

Julián must be able to compete and build a movement that lasts for the long haul, and he’s not taking a cent of corporate PAC money to do it. Will you be a part of this historic campaign?
