Hi John,

It’s been quite a year for us here at Allred HQ! Colin’s first year in office has been jam packed with special moments and legislative triumphs -- the year has really flown by.

We’re excited to ring in the new year and ensure that Colin is once again victorious in 2020 (you can donate to his re-election campaign here:

TEAM ALLRED: Best of 2019!

1) First we kicked off the year with Colin officially being sworn in as our new Congressman for TX-32!
----
2) Next came a huge personal milestone for the Allred family when Colin and Aly welcomed baby Jordan in February!
----
3) Kicking off his first legislative session strong -- Colin proudly co-sponsored the “For the People Act”. This groundbreaking voting rights bill that would create transparent voting locations and allow for same day voter registration.
----
4) Building on his work to strengthen our Democracy, Colin also teamed up with fellow North Texas Congressman Marc Veasey on a bill to secure our elections.
----
5) Another huge accomplishment not to be missed: Colin’s bi-partisan work to bring a VA hospital to North Texas that would provide critical and timely care to thousands of local veterans!

Colin: “That is why as a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I am leading a bipartisan effort with my North Texas colleagues to urge the VA to convert the recently closed Baylor, Scott and White hospital in Garland, Texas into a VA health facility. For many veterans, the care they receive at the VA is crucial, and converting this facility in North Texas would allow 184,000 more veterans to be served in our area, create 5,500 jobs and save hundreds of millions of dollars in construction costs.”
----
6) Finally, rounding out an amazing first year: Colin kept his promise to lower prescription drug prices by co-sponsoring and helping to pass HR 3 this month! If passed in the Senate, this bill will provide relief to millions of Texans who feel the financial burden of the high price of prescription drugs.
--

Cheers to another great year in 2020!
