Friend – If there's one thing you need to know about Marco Rubio, it's this: He's a total coward.

Just days after my daughter Jaime was murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, I went to a town hall and begged Marco Rubio to vote for lifesaving gun safety legislation.

He was so ashamed of his own stance that he couldn't even look me in the eye. Since then, he's turned his back on Parkland victims and worked against our efforts to keep our communities safe. That's why I'm working to replace Marco Rubio with gun violence prevention advocate Val Demings.

Unlike Marco Rubio – who only fights for the special interests like the gun lobby that contributes to his campaign – Val Demings has always fought for Florida. She's stood with gun violence survivors after the Parkland shooting and the attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. I know she would do everything in her power to save lives from gun violence – because she's done it every day in Congress.

Political experts have said that Val Demings' race in Florida is our best chance to expand our Democratic Senate majority, abolish the filibuster and pass lifesaving gun reform. And with polls showing her tied with Marco Rubio, she desperately needs more funding to compete with the $3,300,000+ Marco Rubio has taken from the gun lobby.
