Hi John, President Biden became an honorary member of #TeamTina this weekend after joining Tina on the campaign trail.
He didn’t mince his words. He told a group of volunteers making calls for Tina that “this is the most important midterm election since Roosevelt.”
President Biden also spoke to the ongoing threat posed by Donald Trump and MAGA extremists who are trying to undermine our democracy. In his words, “as long as Trump controls the Republican Party, he’s going to have an incredible impact on state legislative bodies, as well as state governors. There’s so much we can do — and have to do — but it takes somebody ready to stand up and lead.” John, that leader is Tina Kotek. She’s the only candidate endorsed by a broad coalition including the state’s largest newspaper - The Oregonian, as well as Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Oregon Nurses Association, and so many more. But right now, the polls are tied and she is being outspent by her conservative opponents. This race is rated a TOSS UP by Cook Political Report, POLITICO, and FiveThirtyEight.
