[ [link removed] ]Welch for Vermont

Friends,

It’s Ryan once again, Peter’s campaign manager. Today marks the final
three weeks of our campaign, and I’m back with my next Tuesday email.
However, instead of campaign updates this week, I wanted to share a little
bit of my story with you and why I believe Peter Welch is the right person
to be Vermont’s next senator.

This’ll be a bit of a longer and more personal email than usual, and I
hope you’ll read it if you have the time. But before I go any further,
I’ll get right to the point: I and countless others on Team Welch have
endorsed Peter on the road to the midterms, and we’d like you to join us.

[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name right away and endorse Peter Welch for the U.S.
Senate?

[ [link removed] ]I ENDORSE PETER

I am a product of Vermont.
I went to college and started my career out of state, but I was quickly
pulled back home by the culture of community and the spirit that exists
here. Since returning to Vermont, I’ve been fortunate to coach the
Burlington High School boys lacrosse program and serve on our local school
boards, helping to realize the full potential of all our students.

I’ve been on Peter’s staff since 2015, so I’ve gotten to see up close and
personal just how much he shares and lives our Vermont values. My favorite
part of this gig is asking questions and exploring the lives and
businesses that make up our state, and Peter somehow might be even more
curious and passionate about Vermont than I am. He’s much more focused on
what we can do than what we can’t, and that’s why he’s been such an
effective legislator through the years.

But he’s not just an incredible boss, he’s just as great a human. I was
paralyzed after a ski accident in 2017. That period of my life was
indescribably challenging—for me and my family—but Peter and the rest of
Team Welch were always there for me when I needed them. I already knew
Peter was caring and compassionate, but that experience helped me fully
see the depths of his humanity. He leads with his heart, and that’s the
mindset he’ll bring to the Senate.

Peter’s made it a lifelong fight to deliver on some of the most
progressive issues concerning working families—issues like climate change,
reproductive rights, and prescription drug prices. And he’s got just as
much passion to solve these problems as he did the day we first met—maybe
even more. It’s been an honor to call myself a member of Team Welch for
this long, and I know he’s not looking to leave this fight any time soon.

That’s why I’m endorsing Peter, and that’s why I’m hopeful you’ll join me
today. The Senate needs more people with the traits that Peter has:
kindness, compassion, and generosity—but still with the fight and fire to
bring home real results. Plus, Republicans only need one seat to retake
Senate control, and we can’t let it be Vermont.
Our
entire progressive agenda will be on the line in just three short weeks.
Winning here in Vermont is essential to keeping the Senate blue, and
continuing the fight for our shared values.

[ [link removed] ]Please, take a few seconds right now to add your name and say you
endorse Peter’s campaign for Senate. With only weeks until the midterms,
your endorsement will be a major boost to our numbers.

[ [link removed] ]I ENDORSE PETER

Thanks so much for everything—and I’ll be in touch again next week. 21
days until Election Day, let’s do this.

Ryan McLaren
Campaign Manager, Welch for Vermont
