John,

This past Sunday, I had the chance to debate Congressman Philips when we went
head-to-head on At Issue with Tom Hauser.

The debate was clearly a great victory for Team Weiler and we are thrilled
with the growing momentum from the debate, along with momentum generated from
our commercials and additional coverage in the press.

However, I actually walked away from the debate with a pit in my stomach.
Before I continue, rest assured that feeling is only motivating me more and
more as we sprint through the last 21 days of this election.

The upset feeling came from the absolute lack of responsibility, leadership,
and understanding of what is needed to preserve our Democracy expressed by
Congressman Phillips throughout the debate.

When responding to my critique about his lack of leadership during the riots
in the Summer of 2020 that burned Minneapolis, Congressman Phillips stated,
“Minneapolis, which neither one of us would be representing,” insinuating that
he, representing 700,000 Minnesotans immediately surrounding the majority of
the 5th District, did not have a responsibility to lead. That might be
leadership selling vodka or gelato, but that is definitely not leadership or
taking responsibility when it comes to operating nuclear reactors, leading
submarine crews, or representing Minnesotans.

Secondly, Congressman Phillips believes the “one issue” that this election is
about is the “Preservation of Democracy.” His attempt to make our Democracy a
partisan issue is an insult to the millions of Americans who dreamed up,
developed, and fought for this country.

I had the absolute honor of meeting a WWII Veteran at the Minneapolis Area
Navy Marine Corp Birthday Ball (celebrating 247 years of American Naval
Service) this past weekend. He helped lead the charge of assault craft’s toward
Omaha Beach while stationed on the USS HERNDON on June 6, 1944.

It is a reminder of how the heroic actions of millions of Americans have
protected and preserved Democracy across the world for the last 247 years
against enemy forces.

As we work to Turn the Ship Around in our country and steady our course toward
safer communities, more economic opportunity, and a united American spirit—let
us have confidence in knowing America is indeed the most charitable, hopeful,
and greatest country this world has ever known. We are all blessed to be
Americans and owe it to those who have come before us to continue our path to
be Shining Light on the Hill for Democracy.

It’s time for elected leaders who lead on good days, bad days, and every day.
I promise to do just that.

To Turn the Ship Around in our District, our State, and our Country, I need
your help. Our commercial is now off the TV air. We have run low on money and
need your help today to get us back “ON THE AIR” SO WE CAN GET OUR COUNTRY BACK
ON TRACK.

Please consider a quick donation of $5, $25, $247, OR $1,776 to continue the
fight and Turn the Ship Around

!

I’m here to tell you, with 20 years of service in the Submarine Force—a vote
for me IS a vote for preserving democracy, reducing inflation, fighting crime,
and uniting America.

Thank you for your time.

For America,
